How Kids Swim Lessons Can Boost Child Development

Summer is coming to an end, but that doesn't mean all the fun has to stop. Swimming is a life skill that goes far beyond the pool. Here at Blacktip Swim School we pride ourselves on teaching a range of skills that can be used in and outside of the pool.

Although our 1st commitment is to teaching your children how to swim and how to enjoy the water safely, we are also equally dedicated to education.

Their time in the pool can benefit them in the classroom too! By focusing on team building skills, on both gross and fine motor skills, building self-confidence, and exposing your child to a range of teaching and learning styles - your child is sure to excel in and out of the water. A study by Australia’s Griffith University found that children who swam during their developmental years achieved several physical and mental milestones faster than their non-swimming counterparts. This was measured by their ability to cut paper, color between the lines, draw shapes and perform other mathematical tasks. The instruction the children learned during swim lesson seamlessly translated to their production in the classroom.

Swimming! Especially at an early age, has been scientifically linked to an increased performance in visual motor skills and oral expression in kids under 5. So don't hesitate, and enroll today, let us help you and your children grow in every aspect of life!
